Career & Industry

Plumbers are in very high demand and are vital to the infrastructure of every society.  Our single greatest need is fresh drinking water and mankind's first great luxury was indoor plumbing and city sewer systems.  Plumbing is essential to the comfort and continuation of everyday life, so Plumbers can always expect to be highly sought after, financially secure, and well respected members of society.  Whether the company you work for focuses on Residential, Commercial, or Service the future is assured to be lucrative and secure for the individuals in this industry.  

Curriculum

Our Plumbing Apprenticeship is registered with the Florida Department of Education and Department of Labor.  We proudly offer NCCER curriculum that was designed by industry professionals and is implemented and recognized worldwide.  TEC is an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor with our own Master Trainer on staff so your certification is never outsourced to others.  Our instructors are all current industry professionals who have completed NCCER's Instructor Certification Training Program and have the experience and knowledge to guide each student to success in the Plumbing field.

Program

Apprenticeships require sponsorship, so have your employer contact us today for our free registration.  Not employed? No problem, Our vast network of local employers are currently hiring and we would be glad to put you in contact with a participating sponsor and get you hired today.

Must be employed full time by an Plumbing Contractor or Employed full time with a company providing a Plumbing component.  Must be 18 years of age or older.*  Must be able to attend evening classes two nights per week

The Plumbing Apprenticeship is a comprehensive 4 year program.  It contains 8000 hours of on-the-job training (OJT) and 576 hours of Related Technical Instruction (RTI).

The Plumbing Apprenticeship allows graduates to sit for their Journeyman licensing exam upon completion.  Classes meet two times a week in the evenings and are held at Sarasota and Manatee Technical College.
