Becoming an Electrician is a rewarding experience that takes years of hard work and dedication. At TEC we recognize that the concepts students will learn are complex and can be difficult to fully comprehend even when taught in a students native language. We proudly offer the Electrical Apprenticeship in English as well as Spanish, in separate classes, so that everyone has the opportunity to succeed and progress in their career.
Curriculum
Our Electrical Apprenticeship is registered with the Florida Department of Education and The Florida Department of Labor. We provide the best curriculum in the industry from Mike Holt Enterprises and our instructors are all current industry professionals with the experience and knowledge to guide each student to success in the electrical field. We currently have approximately 250 sponsored apprentices and TEC is partnered with over 90 local Electrical Contractors.

Apprenticeships require sponsorship, so have your employer contact us today for our free registration. Not employed? No problem, Our vast network of local employers are currently hiring and we would be glad to put you in contact with a participating sponsor and get you hired today.

Must be employed full time by an Electrical Contractor or Employed full time with a company providing an Electrical component. Must be 18 years of age or older.* Must be able to attend evening classes two nights per week
Program
Our Electrical Apprenticeship is a comprehensive 4 year program consisting of 8000 hours of on-the-job training (OJT) and a minimum of 576 hours of Related Technical Instruction (RTI) providing apprentices with the opportunity to test for Journeyman licensing exams upon completion. Classes meet two times a week in the evenings and are held at Suncoast Technical College- North Port, Suncoast Technical College- Sarasota, and Manatee Technical College.
